Overview 

Beryl Consulting Group is a hedge fund advisory firm that owns/operates a technology unit and a global alternative investment conference. As a Product Design intern at Beryl, I was tasked to create the end-to-end design of a ventured project, an online recruiting platform tailored to the needs of employers. The goal was to create more efficient hiring process and improve candidate experience.

The focus was on helping organizations streamline the hiring process, attract top talent, and enhance recruiting decision-making.

Analyzing the candidate match-making experience, my team conducted both virtual and in-person interviews. Through these interviews, I gain insights of recruiting behaviors, common themes and provided a framework for our persona development and competitive analysis.

What I Learned

1. Prioritize End-User Experience on a Strict Timeline


With stakeholder meetings taking place every week, it gave me the opportunity to make constant adjustments to real-time insights, enabling more informed design decisions.



2. Be a Proactive Team Player


I learned to do continuous learning and adapting working with developers. With the help of product managers and lead designer, I created scalable designs that resolved user paint points and edge cases.
